Doing TM for a few minutes every day brings greater clarity of mind, improved health, and freedom from tension, anxiety, and stress. The Transcendental Meditation program changes the quality of life from anxiety, emptiness, suffering, and poverty, toward ease, fulfillment, happiness, and abundance.As we shall see, science has shown how the restful alertness and expanded awareness of TM produce all these seemingly unrelated benefits. By the end of the book we hope you%u2019ll agree that TM is a great addition to daily life.I%u2019ve heard how difficult meditation is, with concentration and exercises, and I know I could never make my mind blank.Neither could we! Meditation means many things to many people. Transcendental Meditation is a simple, natural, innocent, and effective process for effortlessly settling down, moving from the active level of the mind to the quieter, more powerful levels within.Some people think every kind of meditation works the same, gives the same experience, and produces the same results, but in fact different techniques work differently, do different things, and produce different results.People also may think of %u201cmeditation%u201d as involving concentration, strict diets, difficult postures, self-denial, and even arduous practices.
