220Does this creativity extend to my personal relationships?Absolutely. It begins with perception. When our nervous system is free from stress and our mind is clear and expanded, we perceive the world as a joyful place. We appreciate life more. This appreciation grows until it can only be referred to as love. Love is the automatic, ultimate appreciation of a person, place, or thing. We send out love; we get love in return. %u201cFor every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.%u201d We love, we receive love. We hate, and find hate returned. This is simple physics. Nothing in the universe exists in isolation. All our thoughts and actions affect every atom in creation, and every atom responds in kind.So we should try to love.No. There should be no trying involved. Loving is natural. People are not born for suffering. We are born to enjoy life, to radiate this enjoyment for all to share. This is the natural, spontaneous experience of evolution: greater joy and happiness. It is this natural tendency to radiate goodness when we are feeling happy that is the basis of the social benefits of the Transcendental Meditation program. Like electricity running through a light bulb, when joy enlivens the human nervous system, the system has no choice but to express this joy, this understanding, this appreciation of life.
