The purpose of this study was to verify the effects of TM on the health of employees in an industrial work setting. A health survey was mailed to the subjects before and after implementation of the program. 447 workers learned TM and were compared with 321 who did not learn the practice. The study found that those who practiced TM compared to controls had:%u2022 Fewer physical complaints%u2022 Fewer digestive problems%u2022 Decreased impulsiveness%u2022 Greater emotional stability%u2022 Decreased tendency of neurosis%u2022 Decreased insomnia%u2022 Decreased smokingThe fi ndings of this study provide evidence that TM can be effectively implemented in an industrial company, with great benefi ts for the mental and physical health of its employees.IMPROVED SELF-CONTROLReferences: 1.
