He is a writer, editorial consultant, designer, and technology strategy consultant.About the AuthorsDenise Denniston Gerace became a teacher of the TM program in 1971. She has taught TM in Omaha, Nebraska; Los Angeles, California; New York City; Tucson, Arizona; and Santa Fe, New Mexico, as well as working at the United States national headquarters for TM, and at the International Capital of the Age of Enlightenment in Europe. She holds a BA in English Literature and Art History from the University of Arizona (1969) and an MA and PhD in Philosophy of Education from the University of California at Berkeley (1980, 1988). She is Research Faculty at Maharishi International University and past Co-Principal of the Maharishi School Middle and Upper Schools.David W. Orme-Johnson holds an AB in psychology from Columbia University (1963) and MA and PhD in Psychology from the University of Maryland (1965, 1969). He is Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Maharishi International University, where he was a founding faculty in 1972, serving as chair of the psychology department and director of its doctoral program. Dr. Orme-Johnson has authored more than 100 publications on the effects of the Transcendental Meditation technique, having pioneered research on its effects on stress reduction, prison rehabilitation, health, neurophysiological effects, cognitive abilities, on creating coherence in collective consciousness to improve the quality of life in society, and world peace.Barry Geller, who illustrated this book, was head of the design department of Maharishi International University Press, the international production facility for the TM movement.
